Let's Talk Leopard: The Perfect Print for SS21

Outfit: Top - Warehouse (old) / Trousers - Custom

It's safe to say that we're going in the direction of bold right now with fashion. As we move into the new normal and we plan our outfits to step back into the streets, it's no surprise that we are ready to take risks.

A classic print that I've seen popping up lately is leopard print. Now the reason why I say it's a classic is because it is just that. Leopard print has always been loud, sassy and fun and it's one of those prints that seems to sit comfortably in the fashion world. Brands like Dolce & Gabbana have been incorporating the print into their collections forever, so it's nothing new. And right now, I'm seeing a lot of the print in Saint Laurent and I'm obsessed. It's the best print to grab for if you're feeling bold right now because it's so comfortable.

What I love about leopard print is that it can stand as the statement or it can be weaved in subtly through accessories. For me, I go for both. I have this pair of Dune London leopard heeled sandals that I love to wear with any outfit because they are barely there but you can't miss them either. But I'm also not one to shy away from making leopard print the statement in my outfit; like with the top I'm wearing above or the Zara dress I've worn countless times.

The thing that I also love about leopard print is that it comes in different shades and colours; so even if you don't want to go all out bold on the yellow golden tones, you can easily find muted neutral leopard prints or even completely different colours.

For me it's one of those perfect prints to help you dip your toe into the wild world of bold. And I think that right now, we need to have fun with our fashion and style. We were kept locked up for far too long and it's time to let the bold flag fly!

Here are some of my favourite leopard print pieces on the market right now:

What's your take on leopard print? Personally, it's going to be something I will always have in my wardrobe and I think it's the best starting point for anyone looking to switch up and add something new to their style.

I hope you're all staying safe and well. Sending you lots of love,

Emily xx
