Outfit: Tee - Primark (a men's one) / Jeans - Levi's / Slides - Aldo / Earrings - H&M / Sunglasses - Bulgari
Happy August everyone! I hope you've all been having a wonderful summer, which has gone way too quickly for my liking. Actually, this year as a whole has just flown by and it's scary. So I'm trying to get my act together with this blog and find my groove more. If I have to start somewhere it has to be with this - the basics.
There are two staples that are essential to a wardrobe because they are so basic yet versatile. It's a crime to not have them. A plain tee and a staple pair of jeans. Doesn't matter about what kind of fit, it's all dependent on the person. But for sure you have these things. And it's always a good idea to update them or just have an abundance of them. So for this very short and random post, I give you all the best basics for your wardrobe from the high street.
Take these basics and make them what you want. Add statement jewellery, a statement bag, chuck a blazer on top, some cute shoes and you have yourself a look. It's that simple. I love to turn to these basics when I don't know what to wear or I don't feel my best. It's just so easy, you don't even need to think about it. It's the perfect off-duty style that can be jazzed up in anyway you like.
When I buy my basics, I usually go to ASOS for my t-shirts because honestly the ASOS DESIGN label is perfect for that; the quality is amazing, you can get multipacks and they are cheap, worth every penny. When it comes to jeans I'll go to Levi's, Topshop & ASOS as my staples. Good jeans are always going to be a little bit more pricey, so make sure that you invest rather than buying a £20 pair. The ones with better quality have a bigger price tag and will last you much longer.
