Welcome to Seventeen James, primarily a fashion blog, but I may sometimes include some other interests. My name is Emily Nicole Smith (yes, I really do like my full name) and I'm 18 years old. I just started university last week, studying journalism and we've been told to get as much writing and experience as we possibly can. Blogging is one of the options that was emphasised so I thought "hey, why not then!"
Fashion and music are two of the most important things in my life, but I already do enough musical things, like running a YouTube channel, so I thought I'd dedicate some time to fashion.
The name "Seventeen James" is an interesting and meaningful to me, though it doesn't really sound like anything to do with fashion. The number 17 is my house number here in the UK, so it's a representative of my family and our home. "James" is my little brother's middle name, and he's obviously very important to me, plus he dresses remarkably well for a 10 year old. When I came up with the name, I originally was going to call the blog "Number 17", but I felt like it needed something more to really bring it to life. So here you are; name decided, blog set up and I'm ready to start writing about everything and anything to do with fashion.
